Code of Ethics
All Virtual Assistants who are associates of the North American Virtual Assistant Headquarters as Ethics Verification recipients, Certified Virtual Assistant Professionals, Certified Virtual Assistant Specialists, or Registered Members shall abide by this Code of Ethics as a condition of membership, association or certification.
Associates must act in the benefit of the Virtual Assistant profession.
Associates will accept assignments or projects only when qualified by training or experience.
Associates shall attempt to avoid criticism of the professional reputation or work of other Virtual Assistants.
Associates shall endeavor to avoid conflicts of interest.
Associates shall recognize that, by their work and demeanor, their clients and the entire Virtual Assistant profession will be judged.
Associates shall not act in such a way as to damage the integrity or status of the Virtual Assistant profession.
When entrusted with confidential information, client funds or material goods, Associates shall protect these items and shall not use them for non-professional purposes or personal gain.
Associates shall ensure that their skill set remains current and relevant in their chosen area of core competency.
